Clinic Introduction

Comprehensive Internal Medicine and Cardiology — Broad Symptom Coverage and Vaccination Services

Our clinic provides care for a wide range of conditions, including common internal medicine complaints such as colds, fever, abdominal pain, and palpitations, as well as gastrointestinal disorders including gastroesophageal reflux disease, fatty liver disease, and hepatitis. We also treat allergic conditions such as hay fever and allergic rhinitis, and evaluate sleep apnea. Our smoking cessation clinic has been in operation since July 2019. We offer a full range of vaccinations, including rubella, measles, and pneumococcal vaccines. Rubella antibody testing and vaccination using government-issued coupons are also available. We are committed to supporting the overall health and well-being of adult patients.

A Safe Outpatient Practice with Rigorous Infection Control Measures

Our clinic is equipped with a negative-pressure booth to minimize the risk of in-facility transmission. Patients presenting with symptoms such as low-grade fever or cough are kindly asked to wait outside the entrance or within the negative-pressure booth until they are called. Given that we serve a high proportion of patients with potentially infectious conditions, we place particular emphasis on preventing healthcare-associated infections. Our practice is structured as an outpatient-only facility; should hospitalization be deemed necessary, we will promptly arrange a referral to an appropriate hospital. We also provide medical certificates and other documentation upon request.

Feel Free to Reach Out — Dedicated to Supporting the Health of Our Community

Whether you have questions about vaccinations (such as rubella or measles), are interested in our smoking cessation program, or are concerned about any symptoms you may be experiencing, please do not hesitate to contact us. When inpatient care is required, we coordinate referrals to appropriate hospitals to ensure continuity of treatment, as we place great value on community-based medical collaboration. Please note that we do not provide pediatric care for patients under high school age; however, as a primary care physician for adult patients, we are committed to addressing every health concern with sincerity — from day-to-day wellness to specialized medical needs.

Clinic Introduction

A Comprehensive Clinic Founded in 1927, Dedicated to Our Local Community

For nearly a century, our clinic has delivered community-centered healthcare in Minami Ward, Hiroshima City, spanning four generations since our founding in 1927. We offer a broad range of medical services, including general internal medicine, pediatric surgery, and a smoking cessation clinic. Our diagnostic services encompass abdominal, carotid artery, and cardiac ultrasonography, with carotid artery ultrasound used to evaluate the severity of arteriosclerosis. Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations are available on a walk-in basis without a prior appointment, provided patients arrive at least one hour before closing time. We also maintain an established referral and cooperative network with Hiroshima University Hospital and its affiliated institutions.

Personalized Medicine Based on Genomic Information, Tailored to Every Patient

Our clinic director, a graduate of Hiroshima University, is guided by the philosophy of being an early adopter of genomics-based personalized medicine in order to deliver the most appropriate care for each individual patient. Grounded in the understanding that genetic and genomic factors play a profound role in disease susceptibility, drug efficacy, and the risk of adverse reactions, we provide care that seamlessly integrates general internal medicine with specialized medical expertise. To make healthcare as accessible as possible, we offer an online appointment booking and pre-consultation questionnaire system (launched in October 2022), along with email-based inquiries.

One Minute from the Tram Stop — A Clinic Rooted in the Heart of the Community

Conveniently located just a one-minute walk from the “Hiroshima Daigaku Fuzoku-ko Mae” tram and bus stop (1-2-11 Midori, Minami Ward, Hiroshima City), our clinic provides ample parking and bicycle storage, including a second parking lot. Consultation hours are 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM in the morning and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the afternoon, with Thursday and Saturday operating on morning hours only. Our deep ties to the local community are embodied by patients who have entrusted their care to us for three consecutive generations, beginning with their grandparents. We remain steadfast in our commitment to providing compassionate, family-friendly medical care — treating every patient as an individual and walking alongside them every step of the way.

Clinic Introduction

Your Community Family Doctor — Welcoming Patients of All Ages and Conditions

We practice family medicine that welcomes patients of all ages — from newborns to those over 100 — regardless of gender or medical condition. During most operating hours, two physicians are on duty in the outpatient clinic to help minimize wait times. For patients who have difficulty traveling to the clinic, we offer scheduled home visits, on-call house calls, and 24-hour telephone consultations. The final hour of both our morning and afternoon sessions is reserved as a dedicated fever and cold clinic, kept separate from general outpatient care. Rigorous infection control measures are in place throughout, including air purifiers and a recommendation that all patients wear masks.

Whole-Person Care and Comprehensive In-House Diagnostic Capabilities

We are committed to whole-person medicine — a holistic approach that considers each patient’s physical and mental health, lifestyle history, personal values, and social environment as an integrated whole. From the long-term management of lifestyle-related diseases to smoking cessation support and treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, we develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s way of life. Our clinic is equipped with a broad range of in-house diagnostic capabilities, including blood and urine testing, X-ray, electrocardiography (ECG), ultrasound, and transnasal upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. Electronic medical records enable seamless information sharing among our physicians.

A 5-Minute Walk from Mukainada Station — Accessible and Barrier-Free

Our clinic is conveniently located in Aosaki 1-chome, Minami-ku, Hiroshima — a 5-minute walk from Mukainada Station on the JR Sanyo Main Line, and a 3-minute walk from the Aosaki 1-chome bus stop served by Hiroden Bus and Geiyo Bus. We offer a dedicated six-space parking lot and a fully barrier-free facility to ensure easy access for all patients. Same-day registration is available by phone, online, or in person at the front desk. We welcome everyone in the community — from young children to older adults — with a simple belief: no matter what your health concern may be, please do not hesitate to come and see us.

Clinic Introduction

Comprehensive Care in Cardiology and Internal Medicine — From Heart Disease to Lifestyle-Related Conditions

Our clinic specializes in cardiology and internal medicine, offering a broad range of services that span cardiac conditions — including hypertension, heart failure, and arrhythmia — as well as lifestyle-related diseases such as diabetes and hyperlipidemia, and sleep apnea syndrome. We also provide secondary evaluations following general health check-ups, school cardiac screenings (available from elementary school age), smoking cessation consultations, and routine pacemaker follow-up appointments. Acute presentations such as fever and chest pain are accommodated whenever possible, and we remain open on Thursday afternoons when many neighboring clinics are closed.

Committed to Accurate Diagnosis and Clear Communication, Delivering Compassionate Medical Care

Our practice is guided by two core principles: delivering accurate diagnosis and treatment, and providing clear, easy-to-understand explanations. We are dedicated to offering kind, heartfelt medical care built on meaningful communication with each patient. The clinic maintains a separate room for patients presenting with fever or respiratory symptoms, and intravenous infusion therapy is available on-site. Online appointment booking and a web-based medical interview system are in place for added convenience. When specialist referral is required, we coordinate promptly with affiliated hospitals to ensure a seamless transition of care.

We Are Here to Support You Every Step of the Way, So You Can Seek Care with Confidence

Drawing on extensive clinical experience, we are committed to providing thorough, attentive care accompanied by clear explanations, so that every patient feels at ease during their visit. If you experience a sudden illness, please contact us by phone as early as possible. For patients with fever, cough, or other respiratory symptoms, we kindly ask that you call ahead rather than booking online — this allows us to arrange your visit smoothly and minimize any risk to other patients. Please note that on Thursday afternoons, reception hours are structured according to whether intravenous infusion is required, so we recommend confirming the details in advance.
