Clinic Introduction

A Clinic Dedicated to Supporting Dialysis Patients Through Dietary Guidance and Recipe Development

Medical Corporation H.N. Medic Kitahiroshima is a clinic specializing in dialysis care. The clinic has published a dialysis recipe book titled “Three-Star Dialysis Meals the Whole Family Can Enjoy Together” and has been recognized through its entry in the 2nd Cooking Recipe Book Award in Japan. Through academic conference presentations, cooking seminars, and the ongoing sharing of dialysis-friendly recipes on its website, the clinic is actively committed to delivering comprehensive dietary guidance and nutritional management for its patients.

Patient-Centered Dietary Guidance Rooted in the Philosophy That “Eating Should Be a Joy”

At the heart of this clinic’s practice lies the belief that food should be both delicious and a source of genuine pleasure. The team provides thoughtful, individualized guidance to help dialysis patients embrace the joy of eating even within the constraints of a restricted diet. Every insight gained through academic presentations and cooking seminars is channeled directly back to the patients — a reflection of the clinic’s unwavering commitment to patient-centered care rather than self-serving practice. Since 2014, the clinic has maintained a consistent record of dedicated clinical service and health information outreach.

“Always on Your Side” — A Commitment to Long-Term Patient Support

“We want to always be on our patients’ side — today and for as long as they need us.” These words speak directly to the clinic’s philosophy of care. Recognizing that dialysis is a lifelong commitment, the team walks alongside each patient throughout their treatment journey, continually exploring ways to bring joy and richness to their everyday meals. Through cooking seminars, a comprehensive library of online recipes, and a steady presence in patients’ daily lives, this clinic offers the kind of compassionate, enduring support that goes far beyond the clinic walls.

Clinic Introduction

A Privacy-Focused AGA Specialist Clinic, Open by Appointment Only

We limit daily visits to five patients on a strictly appointment-only basis, ensuring each person receives unhurried, attentive care. The clinic has been designed with discretion at every step — the elevator entrance is set back from the main street to minimize visibility, and the elevator itself is sized for single occupancy, allowing patients to move through the building without concern for being seen. From arrival to departure, privacy is thoughtfully upheld throughout. Initial consultation fees and blood tests are provided at no charge when treatment is initiated, and all costs along with potential side effects are clearly communicated in advance, so patients can seek advice with complete confidence.

Individualized AGA Care and a Purpose-Built Clinic Environment

As a clinic dedicated to hair thinning and hair loss, we develop treatment plans tailored to each patient’s individual lifestyle and long-term goals. Our physicians give careful consideration to personal schedules affected by job relocation or extended business travel, and provide attentive guidance on medication suspension for patients engaged in fertility planning or undergoing infertility treatment. The clinic interior is bright and spacious with a clean white aesthetic, featuring five fully private counseling rooms. Individual powder rooms equipped with hair dryers and washbasins are also available for patients’ comfort.

A Two-Minute Walk from Hatchobori Tram Stop — Open Every Day of the Year

The clinic is conveniently situated within a 2-minute walk from the Hatchobori or Tatemachi tram stops, and within 5 minutes of the Hatchobori bus stop. Coin-operated parking lots are available in the surrounding area for patients who prefer to drive. We are open year-round from 11:00 to 20:00, making it easy to visit after work or on days off. Our entire staff is dedicated to creating a relaxed and welcoming environment where every patient feels at ease discussing their concerns — please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Clinic Introduction

Comfortable Endoscopic Examinations Performed by Experienced Specialist Physicians

Our experienced gastrointestinal endoscopists perform upper gastrointestinal endoscopy (gastroscopy) using intravenous sedation. Many patients appreciate being able to sleep comfortably through the entire procedure, allowing for an examination with minimal physical stress. Colonoscopy is also available, and for eligible colorectal polyps, same-day outpatient polypectomy can be performed on the day of the examination. We also have a well-established track record in diabetes management education and smoking cessation counseling.

A Comfortable Patient Experience Through Scheduled Appointments and Online Pre-Visit Questionnaires

To minimize waiting times and prevent overcrowding within the clinic, we operate on a scheduled appointment system. Walk-in patients are also welcome; however, priority is given to those with prior appointments, and we strive to begin consultations for walk-in patients within 30 minutes of arrival. Completing our online pre-visit questionnaire before your visit helps streamline the check-in process considerably. Patients presenting with fever or cold and flu symptoms are kindly asked to call ahead before visiting, in accordance with our infection control protocol.

Located in Yamate-cho, Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture — Please Feel Free to Call Us

Our clinic is located in Yamate-cho, Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture. We recommend scheduling an appointment by calling us at 084-951-2111. For your convenience, relatively uncrowded times tend to be weekdays between 11:30–12:30 and 17:00–18:00, and Saturdays between 12:00–13:00. Please note that patients undergoing gastroscopy should not drive to the clinic on the day of their examination, as intravenous sedation will be administered during the procedure. We also kindly ask that patients complete our online pre-visit questionnaire prior to their arrival.

Clinic Introduction

Four Specialized Treatments to Slow the Progression of Myopia in Children

At Nikaido Eye Clinic, we offer four treatment options designed to help slow the progression of myopia in children. These include Liqsuea Mini Eye Drops 0.025%, Japan’s first eye drops formulated specifically for myopia control; orthokeratology, in which specially designed contact lenses are worn overnight to gently reshape the cornea; red light therapy, a brief treatment performed twice daily for three minutes per session; and multifocal soft contact lenses, recommended for patients with high myopia. Combination therapy using two or more of these approaches is also available when clinically indicated.

Addressing Myopia Through Both Lifestyle Guidance and Medical Care

We view myopia not merely as reduced visual acuity, but as a risk factor for serious future conditions such as glaucoma, retinal detachment, and macular degeneration — and we place a strong emphasis on early intervention. Alongside medical treatment, we provide guidance on lifestyle modifications, including limiting screen time and encouraging at least two hours of outdoor activity each day. Our clinic also manages a broad range of ophthalmic conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. The facility features a fully barrier-free design, complete with a wheelchair-accessible restroom and an entrance ramp for patients with mobility needs.

Protecting Your Child’s Vision Starts with an Early Consultation

When left untreated, myopia can increase the risk of significant vision impairment later in life. If you have any concerns about your child’s eyesight, we encourage you to seek an evaluation as early as possible. Please feel free to ask about our myopia control treatments, which are not covered by national health insurance, at the time of your visit. We also offer contact lens examinations and fittings; please note that initial contact lens prescriptions are accepted until 5:00 p.m. We are committed to supporting your child’s long-term eye health with a comprehensive, forward-looking approach.

Originally established as “Ogawa Eye Clinic,” our practice has spent 33 years dedicated to protecting the vision and eye health of patients throughout the Hondori area of Kure City. Since April 2024, we have continued our care under a renewed framework as Kure Hondori Kimura Eye Clinic, a branch clinic of Kimura Eye and Internal Medicine Hospital operated by Hikari-kai Medical Corporation. By combining three decades of community-based clinical experience with the full backing of our main facility — equipped with state-of-the-art technology — we remain steadfast in our commitment to delivering trusted, high-quality ophthalmic care to the communities we serve.

Our Commitment to Attentive Care and Clear Communication, Supported by a Comprehensive Referral Network

“Attentive care and clear communication” has been the cornerstone of our practice since its founding. We believe that thorough, unhurried consultations — tailored to the needs of each individual patient — are essential to meaningful medical care. Our physicians engage in ongoing professional development to remain at the forefront of advances in ophthalmology while continuing to address the evolving healthcare needs of our local community. We provide contact lens prescription services for patients with prior contact lens experience. For those considering contact lenses for the first time, we offer a referral to our main facility, Kimura Eye and Internal Medicine Hospital, where advanced diagnostic and fitting technology is available.

A 2-Minute Walk from the Bus Stop — 33 Years of Gratitude, and a Continued Dedication to Community Health

Our clinic is conveniently located at 4-1 Honmachi, Kure City, approximately a 2-minute walk from the “Hondori 3-chome” bus stop. A parking area accommodating up to four vehicles is available directly adjacent to the building. Morning reception hours are 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and afternoon hours on weekdays run from 2:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Please note that the clinic is closed on Thursday afternoons, Saturday afternoons, Sundays, and national holidays. Carrying with us a profound sense of gratitude for the support our community has given us over the past 33 years, we will continue to uphold our founding philosophy of “attentive care and clear communication” as we move forward in service to the health of our neighbors.

Clinic Introduction

Specialized IBD Care, Comprehensive Medical Services, and Telemedicine Access

Medical Corporation SkyClinic is a specialty clinic dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, along with other designated intractable conditions. Since its founding, the clinic has been an early adopter of telemedicine, ensuring that patients who face barriers to in-person visits can still receive the care they need with confidence. We also provide orthopedic consultations for conditions such as headaches, low back pain, and shoulder stiffness, and offer Kampo (traditional Japanese herbal medicine) on a self-pay basis. Korean-language consultations are available as well, reflecting our commitment to serving a diverse patient community.

Small-Capacity, Hybrid Care Model Built on Patient Safety and Infection Control

At our clinic, the safety of every patient who walks through our doors and the prevention of infection are our highest priorities. In keeping with this principle, outpatient services are managed on a limited-capacity basis. We have adopted a hybrid care model that integrates telemedicine with in-person consultations. New patients may begin by applying for either a Special Telemedicine Consultation (conducted online) or a First-Visit Outpatient Appointment (available Tuesday afternoons). A structured, step-by-step pathway to in-person care enables us to provide consistent, long-term support for patients living with intractable diseases.

Before You Visit: Infection Control Measures and Important Notices for Patients

If you are experiencing a fever of 37.5°C (99.5°F) or higher, a sore throat, cough, or any other respiratory symptoms, please call us before coming to the clinic. We also ask that you contact us in advance if you have had a fever at any point within one week of your scheduled appointment. Mask-wearing is required throughout the clinic at all times. Vaccinations for pneumococcal disease and herpes zoster (shingles) are available by prior appointment only. Please note that self-pay fees for Kampo (traditional Japanese herbal medicine) were revised as of April 1, 2025; please visit our official website for the most current information.
